The 1Point5 Project is a not-for-profit organization founded to focus and amplify the voices of those who are working to mitigate the effects of climate change – targeting a maximum global temperature rise of 1.5°C from pre-industrial temperatures. One of the contributions that The 1Point5 Project makes towards this goal is engagement in novel research aiming to provide insight on climate change sentiment amongst New Zealanders.
The 1Point5 Project collects data from individuals in the form of surveys and research panels. This data is collected anonymously and is unable to be linked back to the individual who provided it. In cases where third party services are used to implement data collection from individuals (i.e. online survey tools), additional metadata collected by these tools that has not been explicitly volunteered by the individual is discarded and will not be retained by The 1Point5 Project. The 1Point5 project reserves the right to publish and distribute anonymous data collected during such studies to individuals and third parties in cases where the distribution of this data will further advance the aforementioned objectives of the organization.
